Just one more throwback to our little get away.

We’ve deliberately tried to visit @astleyvineyard during various times of the year so we can check out the different stages of growth with the vines.

Last year was to help with harvest but this year we’ve arrived at the early stages of bud rubbing. This is when vineyards pick off unnecessary growth so the vines can focus their energy and Sonia was happy to help Matleena whilst Arthur went off with Chris to visit @macneilssmokehouse .

It wasn’t all about drinks though....

Whilst we were there we had to sample some of Worcester’s finest ramen as recommended by and enjoyed with @chaywood90 . We both went for the classic Tonkotsu Pork with some Korean double fried tofu on the side. (Check out the rib stack Chris and Matleena had! 😋) Definitely some of the best and most authentic ramen we’ve had in the UK! Pure and rich broth with seriously tasty Japanese style Char siu. If you’re in the area, @manekiramenworcester is a must!

Finally, we couldn’t leave Worcestershire without taking back a side of cider and apple cured salmon from @macneilssmokehouse . We have loved their salmon since the very slice we ever tried at our first tour of @astleyvineyard . It’s always a struggle to decide whether to go for the classic or this cider one as they are both “OMG” tasty! 😋 #foodielife

As most of you know from our own craft beer select

As most of you know from our own craft beer selection we love beers too!

So we had to visit some local taprooms whilst in the Astley area.

On the first night we went to @lombardtaproom and was so surprised at the rear decking area where we could sit and enjoy a beer by the river. Awesome selection (Leo clearly approved) and great atmosphere.

Didn’t manage to get to our other taproom on the list till our last day though... so didn’t manage a sit down beer but we definitely stocked up on some of the crazy selection at @hoplordbeer , including one made with Riesling juice!

What a great few days away!

Well, technically we were working as we helped sampled some of @astleyvineyard ‘s newest additions (not even released yet 🙊🤫) and obviously had to check out how the vines were doing this year.

But there was plenty of time for pleasure too especially with Otso their vineyard escape artist, hunter and apparently a pro herder too!
