Palate: On the palate, this wine brings an astonishing roundness with a very nice freshness, and a length which reveals a magnificent minerality in the finish.

Vineyard History:

Château des Gravières is located in the small village of Portets within the Graves appellation. Its vineyards stretch along the left bank of the Garonne River, situated on some of the finest gravel terroirs in the region. The estate was established in 1847 and has been under the care and attention of the Labuzan family for seven generations. The current owners, Thierry and Denis Labuzan, both accomplished oenologists, have successfully integrated modern winemaking techniques with traditional methods, ensuring the production of high-quality wines that reflect the unique characteristics of their terroir.

The Graves Wine Region:

Graves, located in the Bordeaux region of France, is renowned for its gravelly soils, which contribute to the distinctive minerality found in its wines. Historically, Graves is considered the birthplace of claret, with wine production for export dating back to the time of Eleanor of Aquitaine’s marriage to Henry II, King of England, in the 12th century. This union facilitated a flourishing trade between the two countries, with Graves wines being highly sought after. The region’s unique terroir and favorable climate make it ideal for cultivating both red and white grape varieties, resulting in wines of exceptional quality and character.

Château des Gravières Graves Blanc stands as a testament to the rich heritage and winemaking excellence of the Graves region, offering wine enthusiasts a truly memorable tasting experience.
