Wine Description & Tasting Notes
This vintage of the Dalwood sparkling wine is a blend of Seyval Blanc and Pinot Noir grown on their estate in East Devon.
Known as the “Lockdown Vintage”, for obvious reasons 2020 was a great year for English vineyards as temperatures soared as early as March. This gave the vines a much earlier start than usual leading to a longer ripening season which English vineyards need.
Nose: Bright green apples, fleshy pear and stone fruits with brioche undertones.
Palate: Dry, with a fine mousse, more stone fruit notes and vibrant green apple with biscuity brioche flavours.
Food Pairings: Great with fried foods like fish and chips, but equally great at enhancing any occasion as an aperatif.
