Originally situated on the historic Sharpham Estate, the winery relocated in 2008 to the Sandridge Barton estate, nestled in a south-facing bowl along the River Dart. This location benefits from a temperate microclimate, with the tidal river providing warmth and airflow that reduce frost risk and promote optimal grape ripening. The 32-acre vineyard, planted with varieties such as Madeleine Angevine, Bacchus, and Pinot Gris, yields over 80 tonnes of grapes annually. The estate adheres to sustainable farming practices, including the use of cover crops and the avoidance of pesticides and herbicides.
