Wine Description & Tasting Notes
Planted in 1971, Astley Vineyard is a family run, single estate vineyard in Worcestershire. One of the oldest vineyards in the UK, located in the beautiful Severn Valley, just 10 miles north of the cathedral city of Worcester.
For this wine Chris, Astley Vineyard’s head wine maker, uses Kerner from 2019 aged for 3 months in 100% Acacia barrel, followed by 2 years in bottle.
The result is a mouthwatering but textural wine that will suit cheese, white meats, and rich fish dishes. Dry with refreshing acidity, notes of ripe lemon, white blossom and ginger spice with subtle woody notes.
