Wine Description & Tasting Notes
Huxbear Vineyard was planted by Ben and Lucy Hulland in 2007 on 15 acres of south and south west facing slopes in the Teign Valley, Devon. just off the A38 near Finlake holiday park.
Their Blanc de Noirs is crafted from Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier grapes only. Pressed but not kept on the skins thus not imparting any colour to the wine.
Made using the traditional method, this sparkling wine is golden in colour with an abundance of fine and persistent bubbles.
Nose: Pretty aromas of black cherries, violets and toased nuts
Palate: Dry, elegant and creamy with flavours of blackberry yoghurt, toasted brioche and sweet almonds
Food Pairings: A real pleasure on its own but loves to be paired with creamy desserts that arent too sweet such as crème brûlée and eton mess.
